Ingredients

1 ½ cups sweetened condensed milk⅔ cup white sugar2 egg yolks1 tablespoon butter1 teaspoon vanilla extract1 pinch salt½ cup wheat and barley nugget cereal (e.g. Grape-Nuts™)1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
Directions

In a mixing bowl, combine milk and sugar. Beat in egg yolks, butter, vanilla and salt. Stir in cereal. Let mixture stand for 1/2 hour.Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).Pour mixture into unbaked pie crust .Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Then reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and bake for an additional 35 to 40 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
